Therapeutic Foods and Juices

In spite all the alleged advances in modern medicine we are still seeing an increase in diseases and degenerative conditions. For every sickness the only solution seems to be a pill and then another pill to counteract the side effects of the first pill, thus beginning an ever worsening cycle of stress and degenerative conditions in the body. The following list contains some of the common ailments encountered today with a brief explanation on their causes, and natural foods and juices that can be used to cure and prevent them. Also included is a list of foods to avoid.

Remember all therapeutic juices should be consumed raw immediately after extraction.

DIABETES and PANCREATITIS:

Causes: long term excess consumption of wheat, refined sugars and starches. This causes inflammation of the pancreas due to excess demand for pancreatic enzymes in the stomach, and inability of the pancreas to produce sufficient insulin to metabolise sugars.
Beneficial foods:
String beans-  juiced, 1 pint daily, may be mixed with carrot juice
Brussel sprouts-  juiced,1 pint daily, may be mixed with carrot juice
Molasses- use only unsulphured molasses, you must abstain from ALL refined starch and Sugar, 2tbsp molasses in large cup of warm water ½ times daily.

Foods to avoid:

All refined starch and sugar, overcooked meat, cooked potatoes, bananas, figs, dates, raisins, salt, pepper, mustard.

OBESITY:

Causes: excess adipose tissue deposited throughout the body, especially the buttocks, abdomen and thighs, owing to over consumption of refined sugar and starch and habitual consumption of incompatible food combinations. Obesity is sometimes caused by glandular disorders but such disorders are often a direct result of poor dietary habits.

Beneficial foods:

Carrot juice- 2 pints daily
Carrot, beet and cucumber juice- 10oz/ 3oz/ 3oz, 2 pints daily
Spinach and carrot juice- 6oz/ 10oz, 2 pints daily
Cabbage and carrot juice- mix half/ half 1 pint daily

Foods to avoid:

Refined starch and sugar, overcooked meats, fatty meats, chocolate, pasteurised milk, cooked eggs, alcohol.

ARTHRITIS:

Causes: deposits of inorganic calcium in the cartilage of joints, which eventually form spurs causing intense pain and inhibiting movement of joints. Caused by incomplete digestion of incompatible foods and accumulation of toxic wastes throughout the system. The body dumps these inorganic minerals in the joints. Excess consumption of starch and sugar are major factors.

Beneficial foods:

Celery juice- 1 pint daily or 2 pints if mixed with carrot juice
Grapefruit juice- made fresh with no sugar, mix half/ half with distilled water ½ pints daily
Cherries- eat 1 pound on an empty stomach and no other food for 12 hrs, continue for 1-3 days
Grapes- eat on their own 2-3 pounds a day for 1-5 days, chew skin seeds and pulp well before swallowing

Foods to avoid:

Incompatible combinations especially of protein and starch, pasteurized milk, cooked eggs, ice-cream, salt, excess of animal proteins.

COLDS:

Causes: colds are not caused by germs, but by accumulations of toxic mucus in the nasal passages that prevent the normal bathing and cleansing of nasal and sinus passages by clear moving mucus. Germs then attack these toxic wastes generating even more mucus and inflaming nasal and sinus passages. The best cure is a 3 day fast with twice daily colonics.

Beneficial foods:

Horseradish and lemon juice-grate fresh radish and mix enough lemon juice to make a paste, take half tsp 2-3 times daily

Raw garlic 2-3 cloves daily
Foods to avoid:

Pasteurized milk and all dairy products, all cooked food, all refined sugar and starch. Eat nothing but raw fruit and raw vegetable juice.

FATIGUE:

Chronic fatigue is a sign that the body’s batteries have run down and resistance is lowered, so it should be taken as a warning that disease may occur at any time. It is mainly due to a critical deficiency of active enzymes in the diet and an overload of “dead”, processed, and overcooked foods eaten in incompatible combinations. These typical modern diets starve the cells of nutrition and energy, and allow toxic wastes to build in tissues. The body is then unable to generate energy for work or play.

Beneficial Foods and Juices:

Pecans- an excellent source of vitamin B6 which is essential for all nervous functions and helps the body to use amino acids sourced from consumed proteins. All vital functions are controlled by the nervous system so pecans provide the element needed by nerves to generate functional energy and regulate the body. Take 10-15 raw pecans daily.
Carrot, beet, cucumber juice- provides a strong boost of active enzymes and organic nutrients to the bloodstream. Alkalises and cleanses the kidneys which improves blood quality and helps relieve fatigue. Mix 10oz/ 3oz/ 3oz, 1-2 pints daily.
Raw egg yolk- a great source of organic lecithin which is a major component of brain and nerve tissue. It also helps stimulate sluggish adrenal glands which helps fight fatigue. Take 2 yolks daily, blended into carrot juice.
Other beneficial foods include spinach, active yeast, molasses, wheat germ, soy beans.

Foods To Avoid:

Processed, preserved, canned, cooked foods should make up less than 50% of the daily diet.

MENSTRUAL DISORDERS:

Excessive bleeding during menstruation, overly dark menstrual blood, irregular menstrual cycles etc. are usually a sign of blood toxaemia as well as endocrine imbalance. These problems are generally cured by a system of fasting and colonic irrigation which cleans the bloodstream and rebalances the endocrine system. This is followed by nutritional therapy.

Beneficial Foods and Juices:

Fennel juice- a very effective blood builder so can help correct menstrual disorders. Mix half/ half with carrot juice, 1-2 pints daily.
Carrot and spinach juice: has a special affinity for blood and lower bowels. This blend eliminates the source of blood toxaemia in the colon, so gets rid of the blood toxaemia that causes menstrual problems. 10 oz/ 6 oz, 1-2 pints daily. Whole lemon puree- works wonders in curing all sorts of menstrual disorders and is one of the best therapeutic foods for the female sexual organs and glands. Puree a whole lemon in a blender with 1 cup of distilled water and 1 tablespoon of molasses, 1-2 times daily.

Foods To Avoid:

Pasteurised milk and dairy products, cooked eggs, fatty meats especially pork, hydrogenated fats and oils, refined starch especially white bread and sweet pastries.

INSOMNIA:
Inability to sleep due to nervous tension and/ or excessive acidity in the system

Beneficial Foods and Juices:

Molasses- rich in organic iron, copper, potassium, vitaminB6, calcium which stimulate nervous functions. Organic calcium is a well known promoter of good sleep. Pasteurised milk will not supply calcium to the system because of the lack of the enzyme lactase. Take 2 tbsp in warm water before bed.
Bananas- ripe bananas are full of potassium, sodium, and magnesium, which rebuild and balance nutritionally starved nervous systems. Also contain the amino acid tryptophan which is known to help good sleep.

Foods To Avoid:

Vinegar- except apple cider vinegar, cooked meats, refined starch especially white bread and sweet pastries, hot peppers, strong coffee and tea, alcohol.
